Paperbook preparation: cost and turnaround
Two questions decide whether a filing goes out tonight or swallows the chamber's evening: what does paperbook preparation cost, and when does it come back? Here are both answers, in plain figures. All India Clerk (AIC) works one way — you send the drafted pleading and the annexure folder as it sits, name the forum and the date, and back comes a paperbook: continuously paginated, indexed, bookmarked, searchable by default, every annexure verified against your draft.
Two flat prices, quoted before any work begins
There are two packages, and no meter running.
- Standard — ₹2,500. Up to 40 annexures, under 500 pages.
- Large — ₹4,500. Up to 100 annexures, up to 1,500 pages.
Bigger than that? Ask directly for a quote. Whatever the job, you'll know the price before any work begins — the figure is confirmed up front, never discovered on delivery.
One thing the price never depends on: the state of your folder. Forty badly-named PDFs cost exactly what forty tidy ones cost. Your draft is the only organised thing AIC needs — it already carries your annexure sequence and the title you gave each one. Matching the messy folder to that draft is the trade itself, not a surcharge.
What the price covers
Every package returns the same five things:
- Matched and renamed to your draft. Every file in the folder identified against the annexure you pleaded, renamed to your exact title, set in your pleaded sequence.
- File-ready volumes. A4-compliant, continuously paginated, whole exhibits kept to the page cap — never split across volumes.
- Master and printed indices. Every annexure mapped to its page, in your draft's own order.
- Bookmarks, searchable by default. Each annexure bookmarked under its title from the draft; the whole record searchable.
- The verification check-sheet. As each file is matched, the date and parties on its face are set against what you pleaded, and whatever doesn't sit comes back as one line for your confirmation. We flag; we never edit.
Turnaround: minutes, honestly stated
Usually minutes — depending on how fast you get back to us — but it can take up to a few hours depending on the size of the filing.
That sentence is the whole turnaround policy, and both halves are deliberate. Two things pace a job: your own confirmation of the annexure list before the build begins, and the sheer size of the bundle. AIC's own work on a typical filing finishes in under thirty minutes; the rest of the clock belongs to the conversation. Name your deadline when you send the job — AIC works to beat it, and tells you upfront if it can't.
How payment works
Every job runs half on order, balance on delivery. Regular clients pay in full advance. Payment is by UPI.
Add-ons sit outside the packages and are quoted when you ask — the Dim-Page Rescue typed copy for a faint or hazy annexure, standalone searchable PDFs and bookmarking, court-standard typing on its own. The same rule holds for all of them: no work begins until you have said yes to a figure.
What the fee does not buy
No legal advice, no view on which documents matter, no limitation or deadline computed — and not one word of your draft changed. Titles and order are reproduced exactly, never rephrased. Certifying the true copy stays counsel's act, and the final read before filing stays yours; the check-sheet shortens that read-through, it never replaces it. The clerk, not counsel.
Your files stay read-only, are processed on our own machines, and are deleted on completion. Nothing is kept.
Questions lawyers ask
Is there a per-page rate for paperbook preparation?
No. Paperbooks are priced as two flat packages — ₹2,500 up to 40 annexures and under 500 pages, ₹4,500 up to 100 annexures and up to 1,500 pages. A record larger than that is quoted individually, and always before work begins.
Does a messy folder cost extra?
No. Scans, photos, badly-named files in no order — send the folder as it sits tonight. Nobody in your chamber renames a thing, and the price is the package price.
Can AIC meet a deadline that is tomorrow morning?
Name the date and the hour when you send the job. Usually minutes — depending on how fast you get back to us — but it can take up to a few hours depending on the size of the filing. If the deadline can't be beaten, AIC says so upfront, before you have committed anything.
What happens to my files after delivery?
They are deleted. Files are read-only from intake to delivery, processed on our own machines, and deleted on completion. Your matter is yours — no client names, no showcase.
Send the draft and the folder as they sit — AIC does the rest.
